Tamera and Tasmin Cookman are 14-year-old twins at St Teresa’s School in Dorking, Surrey
Tamera: I have a PE session (athletics) then home, dinner and homework before hockey training at Surbiton Hockey Club for an hour and half.
Tasmin: I go to school and have athletics for PE. I then have an hour and a half training session at my club Surbiton Hockey Club.
Tamera: No hockey training so just a normal PE lesson and then home and rest.
Tasmin: I have a normal PE lesson but no training after school so I get to do homework and rest.
Tamera: Hockey training after school and dinner in the car as I have to be there at 4.45pm.
Tasmin: A technical hockey training session after school for an hour and a half so dinner in the car.
Tamera: A tennis academy lesson then hockey training after school where we practise penalty corners the training for an hour and a half.
Tasmin: The school have organised a trip to see the Ladies European Hockey Clubs Championships at Surbiton Hockey Club. It’s a great time with an amazing atmosphere and a chance to see some great players and great hockey.
Tamera: No training today so I do all my homework on these days
Tasmin: I played for my club in the Junior European Hockey Club Championships. Our first game is against Mannheimer, which we win 3-0, then Hertogenbosch, which we win 1-0. Into the semis when 100 people come to watch from the club. The atmosphere is amazing. We win 5-0 and I score a penalty flick and the last goal in the last minute. It’s a great feeling.
Tasmin: The final against Hertogenbosch. They score from a penalty corner and we cannot equalize. But Surbiton come second in Europe which is a great achievement for us.
