Super B’s reach girls’ U18 cricket final

Reigning champions Bede’s School will play Bradfield College in the final of the School Sport Magazine National Schools U18 Girls T20 Cricket later today.

Both sides recorded decisive victories in the semi-finals this morning with Bradfield beating Shrewsbury School by ten wickets and Bede’s overcoming Berkhamsted by seven wickets.

Bede’s Millie Taylor was the star of the show – first taking four wickets for just five runs to help reduce Berkhamsted to 100-7 off their 20 overs and then hitting an unbeaten 48 as her side chased down the runs in 14.4 overs after being 53-3.

In the other semi final, it was the bowlers who again set up victory for Bradfield with Poppy Tulloch taking 4-9 and Ava Brook-Smith 4-13 as Shrewsbury were bowled out for 83.

Tulloch (48no) and her opening partner Bella Bingley (27no) didn’t waste time in their run chase – knocking off the total in just ten overs without losing a wicket.
